I am sure I missed a few, but I am still asleep. :1orglaugh

Did you know Zappa owned one of Jimi's guitars he burned live on stage?
Zappa fixed it and played on it for many years.. His son Dweezil is looking to sell it now.. i think he is asking like 600k for it.. :-)

Jimi once said that Zappa was a better guitar player than him ;-)
But who carez.. Jimi was awesome.. i have all his albums..

No one likes Mark Knopfler, from the former Dire Straits?
He is my favorit for sure

Geezer Butler and Tony Iommi were an awesome combo with Black Sabbath - almost scary at times

of course Hendrix, Clapton, Page, Van Halen, Stevie Ray, Frampton

He's underrated. If he focused on strictly guitar oriented music rather than pop-rock he'd probably have gotten more recognition.

I have 3 all time favorites depending on the mood.

Eric Clapton
Jimi Hendrix
BB King

Tuga 08-03-2006 06:24 PM

Yes, Joe Pass was awesome. He could make a guitar sound like a piano. I have a few DVD's of him. He learned a lot while he was in prison for 10 years for cocaine. My father met him.

BigCashCrew 08-04-2006 09:00 AM

Anyone mention Wes?

Ecksent 08-04-2006 09:08 AM
