Worked for me, its hard to do.

Depends on how much you are into each other, how much trust there is in the relationship and most importantly if there is an end in sight.

I met my wife and she was living in Texas and I lived in massachusetts. We talked on the phone all the time and every few months I would visit her or she would visit me. Now after about a year she moved up to be with me and now we have been married for over 3 years and will have our 3rd kid in september

I was in a LD relationship for nearly 10 months. It was tough. We'd only see each other once every few months. However, we spoke nightly, often for several hours. The chance to just sit and talk instead of being distracted by other activities like a movie allowed to really get to know each other more intimately.

When we finally moved in together after 10 months, it felt as if we'd known each other for much longer. I'd have never been ready and willing to move in so soon with my ex who I wasn't LD with.

It's tough - you need a lot of trust, a lot of communication. At the same time, you need that in every relationship you have unless it's a one off thing.

It's really, really hard to pull off. For me, it was worth all the pain. Your mileage may vary.

(..and I keep getting confused when i see selena post :p Not name copying, I swear - been going by this name online for about six years :p)
