Just wanted to know what other people thought about long distance relationship.. expiriences & what not....

Worked for me, its hard to do.

Depends on how much you are into each other, how much trust there is in the relationship and most importantly if there is an end in sight.

It is good for having a easy peice of ass in different cities, other then that it is a waste of time

honestly its wack but i guess if both of the people hang in there thru tough times and shit then it will probably work out for the better....i guess you have to maintain faith between both parties....it will work out, jeff.....

It's good and bad. The good side is that when you 2 see each other its a refreshing feeling. The bad side is just the travelling.

I met my wife and she was living in Texas and I lived in massachusetts. We talked on the phone all the time and every few months I would visit her or she would visit me. Now after about a year she moved up to be with me and now we have been married for over 3 years and will have our 3rd kid in september:)

I'm going through that at the moment. Its tough, but if you think she's worth it, go for it.

Never worked for me

During college it was the only way I rolled....they were ofcourse romantic during our time together and provided the opportunity to enjoy college when they were not with me...i never dated at my college.


Mr. Romance

I was in a LD relationship for nearly 10 months. It was tough. We'd only see each other once every few months. However, we spoke nightly, often for several hours. The chance to just sit and talk instead of being distracted by other activities like a movie allowed to really get to know each other more intimately.

When we finally moved in together after 10 months, it felt as if we'd known each other for much longer. I'd have never been ready and willing to move in so soon with my ex who I wasn't LD with.

my gf goes to school about an 1.5 hrs away from me and it works pretty good...i go there on the weekends or she comes to my place

Had a couple. Don't do it. Its too much hassle and your heart will get broken.

we were married eleven years on the 15th of july....worth every agonising moment.

I think they are the same as any other relationship. There are those that work, and those that won't. Just depends on the people involved.

Met in an online game (funny how that worked:p), two years of an online relationship before I was able to move out to him (mostly because of college stuff). It's tough - you need a lot of trust, a lot of communication. At the same time, you need that in every relationship you have unless it's a one off thing.

It's really, really hard to pull off. For me, it was worth all the pain. Your mileage may vary.

(..and I keep getting confused when i see selena post :p Not name copying, I swear - been going by this name online for about six years :p)
