He was just trying to save the Tarpon in order to release it healthy befor the shark hit it. People can not eat Tarpon. NASTY! They just catch and release for fun. It's a really boney, bloody nasty fish. But fun as hell to catch!

Tons of Hammerheads over there this time of year following the Tarpon migration.
