Yes, over here (at least in some parts of the US) we have "central" heating and air conditioning systems with climate control. That means if we set it to 75 degrees, the temperature in the house is always 75 degrees.

Well yeah then, it will be fine to leave it on all night. Once it hits the temperature that you have it set at, the A/C will just shut itself off.
