Get an Apple Mac Book Pro. Similar price, can now natively run XP using Boot camp or Parallels and has very good customer service/warantees.

I have an HP right now, but you should take a look, ask or try google if you want to find out processor type, memory brand, and hd brand. Don't forget the motherboard and lcd manufacturers.
I don't care on the brand, just on what's inside.
I'm using an ATI RADEON 128 mb card with tv out on this laptop and it rocks.

I've wanted to know this too. I've only had a Toshiba; support was good. Mine did overheat though (mind you, I never turned it off and used it like a desktop for months on end). Dell is supposed to be very good, just like their servers are.

I have 2 toshibas, one works fine (Satellite 2450 - 3 years old) the other has a overheating problem (its a satellite P30 RV2) that is quite annoying, shuts down on its own whenever it feels like it, its less than 2 years old.

I am going to try a different brand the next time I buy a laptop.
