FYI government money is not needed for stem cell research. Private enterprise spent 100 million last year on embronic and other stem cell research. This figure is projected to exceed 10 billion dollars by 2010. Science is marching onward without government money which is really for the best.

The UN troops in Lebanon have proven themselves to be totally ineffective as they did not even attempt to enforce their mandate as provided by UN Resolution 1559. UN troops have never been effective in any event other than handing out aid packages. Their "relevance is awsome."

Yup, the US is good at regime change (long history there). Not very good at nation-building. That is just that. Lost of reasons. Legitimacy, lack of national constabularies, use of regulary military tactics personnel and leadership for "peace-keeping", poor intelligence.

But are nation-building tasks "harder" than military ones? Moving a military halfway across the world and then occupying a capital in 21 days is "very hard".
