i have friends in israel who are drafted in, and certainly don't care for their government's choice of offensives.. but they'd rather go support their infantry (they're in IT) than be sent to military prison.

most of the people who get kidnapped are seemingly in support roles, not front line grunts.

Yea... very understandable! You may remember a short time back several officers in the Israeli army got "vocal" about that and also seemed "unwilling" to participate in Gaza strikes.

Anyway, the reason Israel are in Gaza in the first place is because a soldier of theirs was kidnapped.

The two newest soldiers to be kidnapped were not kidnapped in Gaza. They were kidnapped by Hezbollah terrorists from Lebanon who attacked northern Israel.

Israel does not target civilians. 'Palestinian' terrorists routinely hide behind children, which is in fact a warcrime.

I doubt they will be capable. America will fall eventually, new super powers are already rising. You are correct, it is a world in flux, but when the "Arabs" run out of oil to sell, I suspect they will be back to camels, tents, tribes, and a nomadic way of life so they may not be the ones to end the existence of Israel.
