				 | ULTIMATE domain protection.. How would someone protect a domain name they bought like for 50 or 100k? I mean, there must be some other protection than just the regular registrar-lock feature. What do the ppl who own sex.com, men.com, business.com,etc.. do? What registrar do they use? I mean, they don't just have them at a regular registrar(like godaddy) and wait till someone hijacks their account or email account. Can you like register it directly through ICANN? I know dotster has a "namesafe" feature that protects to the registry level, but thats still just a registrar feature, not something with the registry itself,if dotster goes bankrupt, that feature becomes pointless, and where does your domain go when a registrar goes bankrupt?? So many questions, I looked all over google for some higher domain protection, but couldn't find anything really useful. Or am I just being too paranoind? I know I have somewhat severe OCD, but I think this doesn't really apply. I wanna invest some serious money in domains, but all these hijacking stuff is driving me nuts. |

				 | The best protection is to move the domains to Moniker. Lots of high value domains are registered there and no domain was ever lost due to a hijack or something else. Second, don't use a free email as admin contact.

				 | dotster offers a name safe option which seems to be more safe than a simple lock and also Moniker claims that you cant hijack domains that you have registered with them

				 | Good question...WOuld be great if you can lock your domains even better, with some additional options. Like, change DNS, give ME a call, have ME fax a copy of my ID etc... Because yeah they all have domain locks, but when the cheaters manage to get INTO your account, you are 'done' Not sure how moniker etc prevend this...

				 | At Moniker the domain can be locked at the registry level and the registrar level. If you have your account set to the highest level of security I do not believe simple login can unlock a domain.
