Thunderbird is doing crappy job filtering my spam (please recommend replacement)

I've been trying to train this POS spam filter for months and have manually flagged every single spam it hasn't caught. The last couple weeks it has missed catching about half of the incoming inbox spam and is allowing nearly every spam with viagra in the subject line. It's not even filtering out all of the spam clearly labeled "Sexually Explicit" (catching some yet not others from the obvious same sender), it's allowing porn spam with obvious words (properly spelled, and labeled as junk in previous similar mail), ie: blowjobs, tranny, dildo, etc. In another e-mail account folder it's worse, only one spam was flagged out of over 100

I had heard many good things about Thunderbird's spam filter, I can't believe my results. It's like maybe 1/4 of the filters set actually work sometimes and none of them work all the time.

I need something that will let me use multiple POP/SMTP accounts) (a dozen or so) and filter spam decently. I have Outlook Express and Thunderbird both on this PC, but am not really attached to either, so I'm open to checking out any recommendtion that requires a change of e-mail client (I'm not looking for an office suite, just e-mail & spam protection). I'm trying to make this the last switch so I want to feel confident whatever I switch to next is one that will work.

Please recommend what you are currently using on your webmaster e-mail account(s) with good results. Thanks!

I am trying to filter mails sent by sponsors who either sold addresses or "had their database breached".

That is good for stopping bots, but as I mentioned above my spam problem is caused by sponsors.

BTW, I love Gmail for personal e-mail but I need to be able to administrate my ISP pop mail and numerous domains.

That's defeating my purpose. I'd still have to sort through all new messages as they come in, which is fine for personal e-mail but not for multiple domains.

I just want to be able to have a filter that does a decent job of catching the bulk of obvious stuff. Thunderbird this morning thought that "SEXUALLY EXPLICIT: Tight ass penetration outdoors" was not spam.

I was looking at this:
http://www.spamfighter.com/
Anyone use this? If there were a handful of us using it we could eliminate a good bit of the stuff that's been hitting some of us lately.

How many e-mail addresses are you filtering through one Gmail account?
