That's because the location of your property is less desirable than a waterfront property.

I should post when we sell my grandparents house, on st clair river. The house is huge but so old not worth renovating. But it'll fetch a high price, has one of the biggest boathouses on the river and you can't build new boathouses only maintain existing... so yea $$$

Yeah having some lake frontage tacks on quite a bit to the prices if it's a nice lake especially. Even just shared access sometimes.

I would expect he will get every penny of $399,999 he is asking for it. All of the waterfront property in and around the SE Michigan chain of lakes has been snapped up by savy investers many years ago.

if you make your living in cyberspace, 400K will buy you a cliff top mansion and 100 meters of private white sand beach.

and you won't be listening to east oakland afro american boom boxes and dodging drive-by shootings.

but it won't be in the usa.

think outside the box if you desire beach property. the best beach property in NOT in north america.

Was just going to say something very similar Totally agree!

Been working on a project which is effectively as you describe - but got lots more going for it that we now take almost for granted. Bottom line - It's all about environment and quality lifestyle

Very nice place Dagwolf!

One question tho in the above pic - is that a "natural cloud" and haze above the homes or toxic fumes from them hovering overhead? Suspect it's real - but ya never know

It's CANADA! There's no smog. There aren't even roaches here!

Does Canada have a SMOG problem?

Yes. In some areas of the country, smog is one of the most serious air quality problems we have. Our problems are not as severe as those in cities such as Los Angeles or Mexico City, but they warrant our immediate attention. The Canadian Ambient Air Quality Objective for ground-level ozone is 82 parts per billion. In several of Canada's major cities, summer ozone levels can exceed our air quality objective. For example, Windsor, Toronto, Montreal and Vancouver are cities where the ozone air quality objective is exceeded an average of 10 or more days in the summer.

That house would be ideal in Cali.

Isnt South Carolina a red state? I think it would be scary to live in a state where everyone voted for Bush.
