Sigs were a response to dying boards and they worked: apparently, despite all the claims of vast fortunes being made in this business, nothing motivates webmasters as much as petty greed.
Okay you are talking specifically about posting for sig spots, but isn't the line a fine one? For example, you know such a ban will never happen because the board views and post counts would drop through the floor if it did. No more advertising revenue. So does that make your post as opportunistic as those which are more obviously motivated? |
