I use IE primarily because most surfers use IE, but I check designs in firefox and other browsers to ensure compatibility. |
same i use firefox with the adblock plugin
and doin't give me this shit about it stealing revenue , on the net i don't have the option of hanging a "no advertising material sign up " so using an adblocker is the only option i have my bandwidth that the thing chews up , so its my choice if i want to view them |

Firefox... tho it still has memory leaks, but little compares otherwise.

FF, i have never had a problem with it, and the memory usage isn't a problem, not like im using windows 3.1 with 500mb of space... i have firefox with atleast 15 tabs open, chatzilla open, ICQ, AIM, MSN, Dreamweaver, Photopshop and other small programs open at once, and i can still play a game with zero lag or anything... if you are having problems because of using alot of memory, i think you should upgrade from the 100mb memory card you are using

FF and IE7.
If it were not for All-in-One Gestures, I'd use IE7 exclusively. I can't wait for someone to code a similar IE7 add-on (hell - maybe I'll do it). Despite the comments of the previous poster, FF does have memory *issues* and *is* generally flakey... [ the GB of RAM in my notebook and 2GB in my desktop both agree. ] |

I would gladly pay $0.27 per day to avoid hard to look at skins & noisy banner ads & flash pop-overs and weed out some of the members who aren't really webmasters... in answer to the thread topic, I use IE6 so that I'm seeing what most others are seeing on my sites |
IE.....
Mr. Romance |
I use firefox. I have to admit that in Windows it has problems. If you have your computer on for more than a couple days you will see it using 150MB or more of memory. In *nix or MacOS i don't see the same problems. It still is a much better browser than IE, but as a web developer I need to use IE sometimes too.

It's no biggie - just close FF down and restart if it starts lagging after a few days. All the other progs you mention sure don't consume 500K between them all. |

Firefox... It's more secure and I just prefer it then other browsers

As a webmaster who makes a living off internet advertising your attitude is surprising. A webmaster who purs his time, money and energy into a site so you can enjoy it for FREE is just trying to make a buck and you have the audacity to think you should get a totally free ride? Do you use food stamps too? If it were possible I would make a script that detects if adblock is on, and make those with adblock on, pay to see my sites. At the very least maybe I should just redirect ALL firefox users. |
