That's a huge price for a Klimt. I have a feeling Picasso and Van Gogh prices have just skyrocketed due to that Klimt sale. I mean... if people are willing to plunk down that much cash for a Klimt, how much more for a Picasso or Van Gogh, right?

I think feeding a small country for what you have hanging in your living room would suffice

Looks beautiful in my opinion, very settling to the eyes.
New thing to discover/reinterpret each time you look at it.

*But I wouldn't even spend $100 on it if it were the exact painting, no history, from a starving artist in some back-alley in NY. Art's subjectivty in it's valuation-model will never make me a buyer. Although I can respect some artwork.

Oh, I love Klimt!
I've collected his prints for years, but to own an original, just couldn't image.

'Portrait of Dr. Gachet'--one of Van Gogh's masterpieces and is considered as one of the most expensive paintings of all time has a current value of $117,000,000.. Jaw dropping but 'STILL', this value is expected to go higher by these coming years.
