Football isn't that gay when compared to say American football. In REAL football they just kick around the ball and have a kickass time doing it. In American football they grab the ball (lmao) and run with it and play grab-ass with all of their teammates. American football, much like watches, boats, and books, is fucking gay. Real football rocks.

There is a whole hell of a lot more to it than just playing-grabass. None of the players go out there to cop feels on the other players.

If you took the time to learn the concept, you might like it... all my foreign friends who come to visit during FOOTBALL season get into it because they learn the rules.

There are a LOT more rules in Football as opposed to Soccer.

I bet you, I could play a soccer game on a gaming console with NO experience. You wouldnt hold a candle to anyone playing regular American Football.

what I love about both playing soccer and watching it is that its different every time.. I can do what I want with the ball and there are almost no breaks.. course, you have a raw strategy, but besides that you run where the fuck you want, play the ball when you want etc... no need for a fucking supercomputer to calculate all the moves before the game even starts (ref to the nfl)..

thats where the rest of the world disagrees with you.. but all of this is based on what you are used to and if you never watch soccer you just won't get it.. same with the nfl and other us sports for the rest of the world..

but that beeing said, why do tv own the sports over there? why do you let them ruin sports?

Television doesn't own the sports. The owners of the teams make money from the league selling advertising to Americans because that who has the money to spend on products. It is a shit load of money. The owners then pay the atheltes millions and millions of dollars to play those sports.

Advertisers realize that no one watches soccer so they dont pay money to advertise during soccer games.

Because football, basketball and baseball players make those millions of dollars, Kids that are good athletes dont play soccer. They play the popular sports like football and basketball.

That is the reason why the US isn't competative in world cup gibberish. Our best athletes are not participating.

Some of our soccer players are only 5'8" tall and weigh about 175lbs. That is just embarassing. It is a fact that the women's soccer team has essentially the same size players as the mens team.

You will say that size doesn't matter, but that is bullshit. Imagine of some of the NFL players grew up in a world where soccer players were popular and made money. The US would win the world cup every year. Can you imagine Shak as a goalie? Deion Sanders speed and quickness. It is a fact that NFL and NBA teams cut players that are bigger, stronger, faster and quicker than the soccer players participating in the world cup.

The best thing to happen to America is that the US lost their first game in the world cup, now we can stop having soccer shoved down our throat on the 4th page of the sports papers and start concentrating on real athletes.

In the united states, High School football games are played on Friday nights with thousands of people attending. Cheerleaders, band performing etcc... Newspaper and televsions coverage in most cases.

High school soccer games are played on Saturday mornings with nothing but some of the players parents attending.

College is even worse for soccer players.

You have absolutely no clue whatsoever about football. No strategy? Without a strategy, a team will get their asses kicked so hard they won't be able to sit for 10 days afterwards. The only difference is, in football, they don't stop every 10 seconds to take a rest and discuss strategy - they have to work with the strategy they have, and improvise as they go along.
