we're upset, and im sure you can see why. i had a lot of respect for mayor and his program, until he posted that. the backlash we took over nothing.

And in my opinion, that's what this should be...a learning experience. This was a cluster fuck from the word go, and I think everyone could have handled things differently. I don't see where there is a need to bring lawyers into it (against either program/owner/girl) and make this into something that it isn't. I agree with everything that Steve said about sharing content, trading links, and teaming up to leagally go after the main instigator...Bubba.

Now, with that being said...is that how I would handle it? Maybe, but probably not. My solution would consist of two webmasters/owners, two solo girls, two big black strap-ons...and another trip to Florida. See how Bubba likes getting fucked.

thanks baddog. im still in utter shock he posted what he did without even trying to figure out facts. this isnt so much about what went on as it is about mayor's actions. mayor seems to shift the focus away from his ridiculous behavior to the show as a means to justify his move.

when he posted that, he legitimately thought there was some sort of set up to hurt brooke and get it on camera. for all i know, he may still believe it, i shit you not. the video was posted as a means to show everyone.. "hey, we did nothing wrong." imagine taking the heat we took for no good reason. should i let him off with a simple apology "ooops, sorry, it turns out they really didnt have bad intentions," after the fact?

This makes the most sense in my opinion as well. Better planning could have solved a lot of problems early on. I could clearly see how uncomfortible the girls were and how they were egged on to do more and more...

It's surprising to me that no one here knows Bubba - but I've lived in FL my whole life - he's been the most infamous "shock jock" in this area for as long as I can remember.

The largest FCC fine ever was against his show - so this is pretty standard everyday fare for him - he was fired from Tampa's 98 Rock in 2002 and due to an ongoing contract hasn't been able to return to radio until now.

The Federal Communications Commission proposed a $755,000 fine against Clear Channel Communications last month for segments of Clem's show that aired on four Florida radio stations between 6:30 a.m. and 9 a.m.

The segments - which aired in Callahan, Clearwater, Port Charlotte and West Palm Beach - included graphic discussions about sex and drugs that were "designed to pander to, titillate and shock listeners," the FCC said.

One segment featured the cartoon characters Alvin the chipmunk, George Jetson and Scooby Doo discussing sexual activities.

In 1998, Clem was fined $23,000 by the FCC for airing indecent material that included describing a member of his radio entourage receiving an enema.

Clem was acquitted in 2002 of animal cruelty charges stemming from the on-air slaughter of a feral pig. The animal was castrated and slaughtered during a show in February 2000.

In Tampa Bay, Clem's program ranks first in its time slot among listeners 18 to 54.

It isn't Clem's first brush with the chopping block. His first radio job was in Grand Rapids, Mich., and he bounced around stations in San Antonio, Texas; Chicago; Philadelphia; Milwaukee and Orlando, getting fired, by his count, at least six times along the way.

In a 1995 interview with the Times, he said of his past experiences:

Yep, if that happened to me, I'd be pissed off. Mayor made a mistake there.

But I have just two things to say

One, I doubt if more than 2 or 3 webmasters got off their asses to remove links, or add any for Brooke. They are busy and/or lazy and/or don't really care. Was your traffic and sales cut in half? Be honest here. A $50k promotion is barely enough to move traffic patterns nowdays.

Two, Brooke has been on Bubba's show before, so by not insisting on being present during the show, they gave evidence that they not only trusted Bubba, but they trusted YOU. When a model comes to me crying about the way she was treated, its easy to assume the worst. Do you really think it was fair for you to insist on being the only camera? That's a mistake on your part.

So you both made mistakes, and now need to stop being so stubborn. Bubba made the REAL mistakes, and left you two at war.

Put yourself in the other's shoes, and you'll see more clearly.

As a former model who appeared on Blubber the Tub Sponge's show back when he was a Stern wannabe working in his daddy's radio station, I can tell you first hand the guy is a prick. I refused to do something on his show that he wanted me to do and he turned into Linda fucking Blair on me. So I can see where both models were coming from. Brooke doing something she really wasn't comfy with and Melissa being a tad rougher than she should have. They were under the control of Bubba.

I hate that this Melissa/Brooke issue has turned into such a huge deal but, I have to say that the way I see it and going from past experience, I blame Bubba. Since the two sides can agree only to disagree, perhaps it would be the best thing to channel all that resentment and anger towards the asshole that honestly deserves it. Go after Bubba.

Bubba is what bubba is. Of course he's going to act like that and say what he says... DUH, it's RADIO. A good dj is going to try and paint a MENTAL image of what happening in the room so his listeners and SEE in there imagination what he WANTS them to see... This does not mean that the actions have to actually be taking place as he's screaming about them. The actualy people doing the scene are, or should have been in this case, ready for an experiance like this and known how to handle it.
