According to reports in the US media last week, the payment service has been ordered to provide the details of US taxpayers using American Express, MasterCard and Visa cards issued by banks in Anguilla, the Channel Islands, Costa Rica, Cyprus, Hong Kong, the Isle of Man, Latvia, Luxembourg, Malta, Singapore, and Switzerland.
Ya want a nice plastic card with no personal name issued by a bank in a location where it's a criminal offense to release client data??

Your equation only applies to tax regime countries

Others don't pay taxes and wonder why you do

Hardly "third world"

A country with a much superior lifestyle, equal or better healthcare and a sound education system blah - and no taxes.

But.. forgot, every nation outide your state is a "shit country"

PS It may sound appealing - but don't try to come here - you couldn't afford a shack.

Just keep filling in the forms and dream

Costa Rica BVF - healthcare system is on par with the US and always rated either one up, one down annually, - but healthcare costs are around.. 30% of those in the US. Same with higher education.

As with any country - it's not all rosy, but generally damned excellent.

Real estate here is just amazing - it was rated .. think either 2nd or 3rd best place in the world by Biz Weekly. Last year govt stats showed an average capital gain for property on the Pacific side of 40-60% and this is not likely to change in the near future.

And.. best of all, tho you get used to it - no taxes!

seems fair, theres ton of people using it for ebay, if they're reporting the income during tax time (like they should), then they'll be ok.

You travel much? Obviously not.

They don't do "houseboats" here and there is net connections and even water. They can even spell "satellite" thanks to the education system.

They only want the data of Americans who activated their PayPal account using a card issued in certain countries, and the US isn't one of them.

But it's only a matter of time before they pass laws requiring American P2P banks to make all data available in the name of fighting terror and "protecting children" online. That's pretty much how they got the eGold data.

Are there any American connections to ePass or are they 100% foreign?

Don't read the net so much - it can damage your brain.

I'll repeat, the healthcare system as rated by WHO is on par with the US and either one up or down annually. Costs of healthcare - not the govt system - are about 30% of that of the US.

There is NO TAXES on any net revenue and where there are applicable taxes, these can be legally "arranged" to skip the need for taxation.

Grow up for fuck's sake

No.. you were presumably blessed with fingers to hit a keypad - do your own reseach asshole.

And.. who said any country was "better" than other?? I didn't - another one of those famous assumptions and stupid one-upmanship crap ya expect from a deviant brain. Every country has much to offer - but you would not know that.

Meanwhile... keep filling in the forms, paying the taxes and getting deeper in debt and try and recover the bodies from Katrina - it's embarassing for a "first world" country to be pulling out bones.

And don't forget to get treatment soon - the problem is showing

Where you from seven - or rather where is your cousin from? Depends on that as to whether you need to bother with a visa. Normally "tourist visas" last 90 days - tho that's not usually a problem - just get it extended. The other option is if you leave the country for 72 hours (like a flight to Panama or anywhere), you have an automatic additional 90 day visa when you re-enter CR.

If you actually want to stay here - as a resident, it's just a matter of filling in some forms and possibly forming a CR corp ($500). From the moment you complete the application process - you are free to come and go as you please without any visa problems. It's normal to let a lawyer here handle residency paperwork - cos you'd get bored standing in a queue at the immigration dept.

Basically ya choose XPays - if you elect to live in a high-tax regime - you pay - and totally agree with that.

Flip side is other nations have either less or no taxation and no problem with that either. Just kinda like that system - tho, if there was need for taxation, I got no problem with "donations".

The other side, and think this is the one you are referring to - is idiots who live within a taxable area and try to be smartasses and not pay due taxes. Totally agree that is "inappropriate" and it's only a matter of time till they have a problem.

ahahaha, stick together haters. there's fewer and fewer of you left.

man, too funny to watch someone come to the defense of a liar. If lying is ok with you, it begs the question of how you conduct your business.

Totally agree inabon!

Panama is also one of these places which are damned ideal for webmasters and, much like CR - totally chilled out.

It's not just the tax stuff - but generally the lifestyle is much better.

I was in the US and Caribbean before shipping out to CR. Had a great time in Florida but them moved to offshore. It hit ya in the face within a day It was just so "unusual" not to have to fill in forms, pay taxes and "conform". That bit took me almost six months to get used to - and getting re-confirmation from lawyers that it is actually "legal"

Panama is probably actually better in many ways than CR from a business angle and "looking ahead". Only got some Panamanian corps at the moment, but expect to have another place down there soon (near David).

Think you chose wisely moving there!!
