World Cup: Who Will Win It All: Prediction Thread

It would be easy to say Brazil but I think they will be upset this time around.

For some reason, I keep thinking France, Italy (despite the scandal) or a surprise like England......the Netherlands is loaded again but they always choke so I won't take them. I guess my prediction will be France this time.

Please add yours

France doesn't stand a chance.

It will be either Brazil, England, Germany or Argentina.

Marks my words.

I think Klinsmann is crazy not to have Olive Kahn in goal. Many say his goaltending in the last WC was the best they've ever seen. What is Klinsmann thinking?

he goes his own way...
i clearly would like to see oliver kahn in the goal but he wanted the decision to be made wh en he was playing shitty and lehmann good...
so it was a bit of his own fault

At least I hope so. I want to watch all our stupid TV "journalists" tell us why the leader of a free sovereign nation shouldn't be allowed to watch his team play.

Czech Republic is going to lose it's first game to the fifth ranked team in the World, the USA. Funny thing is, we're way more interested in the NBA finals.
But seriously, Ronaldhino and Ronaldo are magical. Brazil wins. England has some injury issues i.e. Gerrard, Rooney and Beckham is past his prime.

That's because we're about as good at football (soccer) as the Nigerians are at ice skating. If we were half decent at football we'd be all over this tourney like the rest of the world is. It would also help if more than 10% of Americans could name more than 5 foreign countries. Sadly most of us only know Britain and the two or three countries we're presently dropping bombs on.

Do you know the history of the world cup? Basically it was started because we didn't want to have football in the olympics when we were hosting them, because we blow donkey nuts at the it and we're poor loosers.

Half decent? Guess you skipped over the ranked fifth in the world part. Also thanks for the update on the failures of the US education system as if that has anything to do with this discussion.
We didn't exactly get the luck of the draw in the pairings with Italy and Czech Republic in our group but we'll live with it. Don't want to be labeled poor losers, ya know.

Brazil is the big favorite for obvious reasons and I doubt Germany has the best team out there but the support of playing in their home country could definitely be a big pusher for them. They might make it also
as for england and france: not a chance. No way.

Apparently not. After that 3-0 thrashing the Czech Republic put on them, they might not be the fifth ranked team in North America.

My bet is Brazil.

Well my bet is Brazil although I hope the Netherlands will win. It?s all mathematical proven:

Germany won in 1974 and in 1990, 1974+1990=3964.
Argentine won in 1978 and 1986, 1978+1986=3964.
Brazil won in 1970 and 1994, 1970+1994=3964.
Brazil also won in 1962 and 2002, 1962+2002=3964
And Brazil won in 1958, and guess what, 1958+2006=3964,
so it has to be Brazil this year.
