It's former Supreme Court Justice Sandra Day O'Connor's speech at Georgetown University where she warns that the rightwingers attacks on the judicial system may lead to a dictatorship.

Now them's stronnnnng words and should have set off alarms all over.

Unless we are facing nuclear attacks, total apocalypse or some big conspiracy, then I don't think an attack on democracy would lead to the death of democracy, and dictatorship. Civil war(s) would come first.

It will always be divided but rest assured on one thing and one thing only...History will simply repeat itself, it is the nature of the beast. I seriously think that a lot of our freedoms are being taken away (over time) in the western world because of the potential thread on China.

Think about it, as it stands at the moment not everyone would fight if there was a war. Quite a percentage of populations in western societies would simply refuse to fight which would be pretty concerning if China did decide to start a war in the future because you can't win

Moby, good points. I grew up in the 60s. My first traumatic experience was when JFK was assassinated. The reasons people vote Democrat are:

1 Steal more money from the rich to pay for their illegitimate kids 2 Tax the rich to make sure 3 Keep black people from beating them up 4 Keep the police from beating them up for giving support to black people.
