The second amendment is to ensure that the people have the power instead of the government. What you've seen in the last 30 years of politics is the direct result of the government becoming more and more sure that the people have been defanged to the point where they can get away with whatever they want. Scary eh? Unfortunately, the only party that is arming it's own are the conservatives.

Why you bothering about liberatians in particular? It would be handy and more relevant if there was any charisma (or abilty) in the current "management". Don't worry - you'll get your "libertarian" govt sooner or later - but they will be much the same as now.

It might be a clue to vote for whoever is actually competent and has some qualification to lead and take part in govt. Tho that's prob too boring when there is a need to pander to the masses.

PS.. BTW was speaking in general terms - there are a number of very well-qualified people who would be an asset, - but chances are of them getting any power is remote.
