No I made the thread to announce my boycott of them because they are bigots against America, I dont care what their views are but blind hatred against Americans in general is as silly as you think this thread is.

It isn't arrogance at all. I just find it hypocritical to bash a country that in the end, most people are completely financially dependant on. If I had such strong feelings toward a country and wished ill will on them, I probably wouldn't be doing business with them. I just find it funny that for all the moral objections people in other countries have against the US and their people, none have the balls to block their traffic.

Having been on both sides of the fence in my lifetime (which is evidently way longer than yours), as both a protester and activist against the Vietnam war in the late 60s, and serving my country for 12 years right after that in the US Navy I feel I have always had an open mind to just about anything that is thrown out there - as a matter of fact I believe some of my older threads around here have a pretty common thesis of openess, questioning and my dedication to the strong feelings I have to defend everyones right to free speech. I have had many friends over the years die protecting the Constitution with that free speech clause being one of the most important parts in my opinion.

I have not seen one ounce of "blind hatred" or the promotion of American killing - which leads me to believe that you are either interpreting/believing what you want because you are angry about something else totally, or you are a total idiot in which case, as usual, you are free to speak about it and I support your right to, but if you are going to libel someone(I think someone metioned slander, but in this case it would be libel) you better be able to back it up with concrete proof - not just your interpretations

First - If there was nothing to bash - there would be no bashing. It would just look stupid. Have you bashed Iceland lately?

Second - Most people are not financially dependant on the US - they never were. Anyone who currently is depending on US finance is fucked and likely to be fucked harder as the dollar loses more value.

Three - Most people don't wish the US "ill" and that includes people from the Middle East. Out of all nations on this planet the US government/admin have demonstrated how fucked up they are - and as a result are a "talking point" worldwide - little surprise there. That does not mean they wish the US people any ill.

Four - Other countries are not so banal as to even consider blocking net traffic. There are far more effective avenues to dealing with counties where there are "moral objections" than some crummy net access. Check out the limitations/conditions other countries have in cooperating or otherwise with the US.

Summary - Perhaps it is not "arrogance" which is the problem, but lack of education on the assumption that the world revloves around the US - it doesn't. The US has much to offer and a role to play, but this is currently is in a decline and this is something of it's own making.

The longer time is wasted on total trivia over issues such as US domestic politics and the clear contempt, hatred, inconsideration and intolerance is shown by a minority within the US towards other nations - the more damage that will be self-inflicted on the US and less chance of any noteable recovery from the current status.
