does anyone know if you can just add modules to apache if you didnt add them during config/install?

also, any apache pro who wants a little work and $ hit me up icq 157713798

all i am having problems with is adding: AddType application/x-httpd-php .html

i am assuming this is because i dont have the .mime mods installed and i dont know how to do it....

Depends on how apache was compiled to begin with, but you can just recomplie apache with new modules, no biggie

Adding this to your htaccess file didnt work?

AddType application/x-httpd-php .html

If the module comes as a source package then you can compile it and build it as a dynamic shared object (dso). You should be able to do this with the apache extension tool (apxs). Once built, it can be loaded with the LoadModule line in httpd.conf.

Like nasty said though, it doesn't take long for you to recompile apache if the module itself has already been compiled and provided as a binary.

DSOs are the way to go.. you should be able to just add the relevant LoadModule to httpd.conf, and do an apachectl restart
