The two companies unveiled a partnership Thursday morning in the United States that could bring more advertising revenue to Yahoo, whose market share losses to Google brought angry words from shareholders at the portal giant's annual stockholder meeting later in the day.

The headlines all day on the financial channels (bloomberg, cnbc etc.) all claimed they were after google. Should be interesting.

last report i heard was that googles networth was 110 billion
yahoo's was just under half of that
if i remember correct i think it was back in 2002 that the yahoo ceo missed out on the chance to buy out google , not sure on the circumstances behind it

with technology companies like that, net worth doesn't really mean much, they can easily sink from 110 billion to near zero within a year...
