Mother fucking DreamHost

Well i can't say i wasn't warned - the hosting was dirt cheap and i've obviously not heeded the advice people here have given of "stay the fuck away from DreamHost".

Nevertheless, here i am with DreamHost, and at first i wasn't too bothered - slow page load times aren't that bad when i consider i paid fuck all for the hosting. What is bad, and that has me swearing like a mother fucker, is that fucking DreamHost won't let me use URLs in any of the PHP copy/file functions (e.g. copy(), file(), fopen() etc.) and my attempt at making both a fsocketopen() and curl() version have failed - making 550'd files that i can't use, and now for super happy fun time, nor can i fucking delete.

And what do DreamHost's support make of all this? Well i would tell you, but the fuckers won't respond.

Anybody here happen to be a DreamHost rep?

Well if it isn't more problems with DreamHost again - with an leg for an arm, and an ass for a brain.

Both my sites are now down. I think i might just need to move - can anybody who has recommended a host, or a rep, give me a dirt cheap deal? I'm looking to pay less than $5 per month if possible...

Do you host any sites with them? Because the plans they seem to have offer a damn high amount of bandwidth and space for next to nothing - which makes me think they might be another DreamHost...

Does MojoHost still do Virtual Hosting packages? I just visited their site and they said: "We have discontinued our virtual hosting platform so that we may serve our dedicated customers better. If you would like a referral to another provider of quality shared hosting, please contact us and we would be happy to assist you. Thank you!".

Unless you have a personal contact with Brad that you wouldn't mind me using?
