How many programs using own merchant account use pre-checked cross sales?
Seeing lots of threads about how pre-checked cross sales is a scam and causes lots of CB's and so on.
Do many adult programs that use their own merchant account rather than a 3rd party IPSP also use pre-checked cross sales? Or are pre-checked cross sales something almost used exclusively when the company uses a 3rd party biller. |

As far as I know and I could be wrong.. You cannot "LEGALLY" do cross sales to other merchants(using your own merchant account) unless they are using the same gateway setup.
An example.. 2 Programs use epoch, one wants to x-sell to the other... All that happens is CC data is passed from epoch to epoch. Now imagine two programs(with their own merchants) on different gateways want to x-sell to each other. That would mean they would be capturing credit card data and sending it across the internet to another company to capture it. As far as I know, that is against visa rules.
