Type In Domains FOR SALE

Due to work and personal committments, I am leaving the adult business and therefore selling my site (exciter.com) and type-in domains.

Type Ins are a great way to get qualified, targetted traffic which no-one else can compete for and most of them are priced under $200. Basically, im looking for a quick sale.

If you're interested please write to

[email protected]

Ask for more info and Ill send you a full info document with details on type-ins and pricing.

I've written a word doc specifically for the purpose of the sale to make it very clear to prospective buyers.

My last word on the subject. If you're interested you can get me at [email protected] - hell, if you're concerned about being spammed use a some secondary email addy. Im sure youve got one stashed away some place.

I launched this sale 2 weeks ago.

> Hey man.. the word is out.. .com died.. and nobody

Ive sold 2 from this particular batch last week at over $700 each. People will pay for a good name but if they know they're getting targetted type-in traffic they're usually happy to pay extra.

It just depends on what the aim is. At the end of the day, search engine listings are changing at all the time and you can't count on them. Type-ins can provide you with a consistent, daily stream of traffic that grows and you dont need to worry about how the SEs alter their algorithyms.

There are lots of benefits especially if theyre developed but usually type-in domains appeal only to experienced webmasters as they're usually the ones who've registered them in the past.

Well actually its very easy to type exciter.com instead of excite.com so we get quite a few from that but theres that judas priest band and the latest Depeche Mode album is called Exciter too.

Most of the type-ins (about 250 daily) come from people looking for hifi equipment, loud speakers, vibrators and other miscellaneous stuff. Hardly targetted but it all helps....

There are some ok domains on the list and the prices are fair, in my opinion.

i guess thats why he won't publish them.. you aren't going to get type ins on 100-200 overture hits.. (as much as that can be a guide of term popularity) nothing equating to $.. certainly nothing that gives you ROI on $600.

Overture is but one of the methods used to evaluate the type in potential of a domain.

> ShanghaiSex.com 600 USD ?

Errr.... check again. ShanghaiSex.com is $140 (and has always been!)

Registered for 3 years, and it gets over 20 type-ins a day. So if you call 3 years $40

Remainder is $100 for the domain *and* over 7300 type-ins a year. To say nothing of what you get from future years, growth of the type-ins, SE listings, development, etc, etc. Remember unlike search engine listings, no-one else can compete for this traffic.

It makes me sick selling these domains but my choice was:

(a) Keep my domains and lose my job
(b) Sell my domains and keep my job

I chose (b). Its as simple as that. If i didnt have so many other
sites it would have been feasible for me to keep exciter.com going.

Damn, I should have been a fisherman.....

You just never know. Actually the stats show a huge variance in demography with most US but I can't see how you couldnt pay the name off with 7300 unless you were a total novice... even if you didnt develop it thats hardly asking much.

Having said that, you should never under estimate the asian market. Gotta remember that the Internet is new in Asia and accessible to the elite classes. They're those fresh faces babies that we were 4 years ago. check this:

> i know, hence the qualification.... but as a guide...

Overture inventory is probably the best indicator we have, purely based on the volume and distribution of their search enquiries but for sure it isnt always a good indicator.

Romania Sex shows 912 searches
RomaniaSex.com gets over 15 typins/day.

Mumbai Sex shows 183 searches
MumbaiSex.com gets over 160 typins/day.

Why ????? I have no idea. This doesnt make sense and its annoying because I consider that one of my best domains (MumbaiSex) and people stay clear because they assume that just because of the Overture result, the type-ins must not exist.

We should open a college called "Type-in School - A School For
The Typedly Disadvantaged". Haha!

With web stats. Or you just forward the domain to another domain that your hosting which has webstats. ARS has pretty good click tracking so pointing the domain to one of their sites is something you can do aswell.

> and i don't believe type in traffic is as popular as it use to
> be unless its one word domain

It hasnt really changed except to say that type-in traffic is growing. I think its probably to do with growth aswell as the increase in "web savvy".

I'd love to know how many type-ins Adult.com gets.... my estimate is around 6,000 to 10,000 daily.

the sure is that typein traffic is the best quality and can't convert amazingly if it's well targeted. In your case i wouldn't sell any typein domain. You don't have to spend time on any site like it. Just a full page ad,a collection of links etc.
