Isn't it a little different with Moviepass? Didn't the TOS say their computer is basically FUCKED until they pay up? A 30 minute trial or a cross sell doesn't fuck up your computer with endless popups and shit.

ok .. so they have to click on a link to have the software installed. But its not just any free trial software ... it costs money right?

And at least for me ... I thini there is a big difference between fine print on adult web sites and loan/bank paperwork. Surfers hit tons of sites daily that all have some kind of fine print. They just don't read them all because ther are so man. However loans don't happen every day and thats why the terms gets looked at more closely. Not the best comparison in my opinion

I do admit I don't have all the facts and I look forward to Smokey's info. Media, you know I'm down with ya bro ... just trying to figure all this shit out.

Me and you go way back man, I know where your heart is, and I hope that you know where mine is as well, I made the comparison on a loan because that is a legal binding agreement, you make an agreement when you use any software to register it, to do what it says in their terms.

I just hate the comparison of apples and oranges, terms are terms, plain and simple.

Another example:

If you get a 0% apr ballance transfer from your credit card bank you will have to pay a nominal fee up to $90 usually to transfer the funds to that card bank.. Say in the event you miss a payment due date, your APR usually shoots up to 26%-32% for your defaulted APR, this happens to so many people and they don't realize it will happen, but it is in their terms... Is this right? Shit, maybe not man... But it is clearly stated, and in the event that you don't read terms, that is sort of your own damn fault... I've had things like this happen to me before, and I take my own blame for it, I don't go on a man hunt, I should read the terms..

Another example, of the so called extorsion or ransom people are talking about...

Early Service Agreement Termination with Cell providers, usually per phone you will be charged $150 if you agree to their terms, people are buying phones every day, and they may or may not be 100% aware of this detail if they choose not to pay attention. So if you don't pay the $150 your ass gets sent to collections, you don't get your phone # ported over if you want to switch until you do... that simple...

You see what I'm saying man? This kinda shit happens all over in all forms of business, wrong or right, it's going to be in businesses...

What I don't understand is with all this heat Moviepass is getting, why not just swap out exit sponsors? You must be making a killing or have a large prepaid deal. It makes no sense to continue taking a beating on all the boards and driving webmasters away all because you really want to promote a certain sponsor on your exits.

The rationalizations and justifying of certain tactics is mind boggling.

That's all good and well when it comes time to pay up, BUT .. you aren't practically held hostage like a trojan program that infects your system and autostarts and takes control of your PC until you pay. You push a program that INFECTS their computer, until they pay the price.

Brujah, are you failing to read the posts I am making man?

let me type a little bigger for you so you can read what I want to get across to everyone.

I was able to uninstall this program successfully on day 4, after the trial ended, I uninstalled the movieland and billing components, and this got rid of the prompt to pay the $100 software licensing fee.

On multiple computers Brujah, that gave me enough faith to agree to a contract for them to be on our exit pages, which we send to an ad, that then goes to their download of the install.

Ok, tell ya what, we will get to the bottom of this once and for all. Media, please post one of YOUR links to the moviepass.tv installer (one of the links Pornkings uses to direct it's surfers). I will download a copy of the installer and decompile it so we can all know once and for all how it is written and designed to work. All I need is one of your links

Yes, I failed to read where you had mentioned that before. Then what are we waiting on Smokey to say about it exactly? How did you uninstall it?

This cover everything, media? I think I got it summarized well now, based on what you've said.

I understand what you are saying and you are technically correct. But for me and my opinion, I think business can be done other ways. I don't think one needs to use methods they know are taking advantage of people. We all know people don't read everything. Does that make it right to just go ahead and do something they you know they won't be happy about later? I call this a form a karma. I would nor would my company every support moviepass or anything like it because I know its wrong and decieving. I get just as pissed about cell phone companies that charge you $150 to end your contract with them when their service sucks and they can't make it better. Its just wrong. There should be no charge for cancelling your agreement. One should have the right to find a company that works for them without having to pay for "EXTRA" shit .... just like the movie pass "EXTRA" shit. I just don't approve.

THats just how I feel. I am in no way trying to attack any companies or any person here. Just expressing myself. I've still had many good experiences with Porn Kings, from back in the day when Roger was there. And you are an amazing business person that handles himself the way he should. I can't say that about jimthefiend, pimpdog or amateur wealth. They say the wrong things and act like children in a business that is supposed to be run by professional adults.

(What's to be concerned about? It's free and I want to see a nude video)

True the "small print" covers the legal side, true is is preying on consumers laziness. I don't think it passes the smell test.

When the bill arrives how many will attempt to charge back the paysite as well.

This is like being charged to leave the parking lot of a strip club.
