Thought my oysters were gross? Here's what I had for dinner tonight (pics)

It surprised me how many people were unfamiliar with oysters, which although common here are a delicacy elsewhere. Tonight I chowed down on another current plentiful seafood delight
Can you tell which part is already eaten?

Here's a couple choice pieces pulled from the shell:

    The aftermath:

Dungeness crabs incredibly spiced by the one place around here not afraid of a little bit of seasoning

Belting back a couple beers for desert

If you are ever in New Orleans, hit Dragos and get the oysters smoked on the grill in the half shell. You'll thank me

But this place packs 'em in so it must be pretty good.

I concur!! We were just there last Thursday and ate 2 dozen charbroiled oysters. I LOVE them. I also love crab...and I'm extremely jealous and hungry now.

If you've never been to Drago's, you have NO IDEA what you're missing!

Man, these crabs were so sweet, tender, perfectly seasoned... you would have to change your mind about seafood with one taste

I'd rather take the walk across the street for a good filet po-boy, more of a Crazy Johnny's kinda guy myself. Can't beat that filet poboy and crazy potatoes for like $5.

Used to love that stuff when I was in Florida - but was having dinner with a lawdog who had a habit of pulling cadavers out of the Gulf. That put her off seafood when she saw what the crabs were eating - and same with me!

Lesson one - get your seafood from an area where bodies are not floating around in the sea
