Epassporte are a fucking joke

Epassporte are a load of shit.

I ordered a replacment card 11 days ago, at a cost of $35. They said it would take 6 weeks, unless I wanted to have it sent by UPS, then it would take 1 week, but would cost $100.

$100 to send by UPS? My arse.......Otherwise it takes 6 weeks? Why? I can send something today and it be in the states within a couple of days. Without a courier. With a courier a day.

So I pay the extra and still no card has arrived. I phoned. Spoke to some complete retard and she says it hasnt even been made yet. When it does and she has no idea when it will be done. It will then take up to two weeks to get here.

I asked why does it take UPS 2 weeks to get here and the mentalist explains that its becuase we are not in the US. I explain that a UPS courier for $100 should be getting it here quicker than 2 fucking weeks. But of course the dim bitch couldnt get that between her thick spasticated ears.

The main thing that concerns me is that I have money building up in an account, where the people running it are complete incompetant baffoons.

Eppasporte. What a load of shit!

I don't use epass unless it's absolutely needed. I'd rather risk using paypal any day of the week over epass.

you need to look to banks that have visa as their main card

bank machines that have masterdcard at the top will tell you to jump

it seems to work at most clothing stores or restaurants ive been to

they use a third part processor i think...most commonly moneris?

anyway i love epassporte

Ive bought tons of stuff from the states and there is no reason it should take 6 weeks to get to England. Unless they are walking it over here.

Someone from that side of the pond please tell me. If the courier UPS are charging $100. is there any reason it should take two weeks to get here?

Plus why the fuck after they said it would be 1 week with a courier and 11 days later they have not even sent it away to be made. Then when they get it back it will take another 2 weeks before they get it here.

Eppasporte are both incompetant idiots and theiving fuckers. Either way not sure I want them looking after my money with those qualities

I think it works like this:

They wait untill they have X card requests. When this is reached, they have the cards made, and they are send out by normal mail or UPS.

So no reason to pick UPS when they use this system....

Just a guess how they work...

She said it will take up to 8 weeks non UPS. Sounds to me that the UPS thing is just a way of getting $100 from people. Not the way I would expect a bank to behave

Don't give them that much credit, I don't think that they can be classified as a bank.

Cards are made 2 times a week.

I ordered a card for my backup account on May 6th and received it today.

Johnytraffic, when cards are sent via UPS they are sent the day we receive it from the printer and then it take 2-5 days depending on your location to receive the card.
If you contact me with your account name I will look into the status of your order.

Just a heads up but have you reset your PIN? I had that trouble recently, went into my account and did the PIN and its fine since.

$100 to send a card by UPS? Sorry to say but that's bullshit. I personally think they are lying. Hell, shipments are normally priced by weight and an epassporte card weighs next to nothing. maybe a few ounces. So $100 for shipping by ups on top of the $30 for the card?

$100 on top of the cost of the card? Where is it coming from, Outer Mongolia?

I tried to use my virtual card online at Dunkin Donuts (to recharge my card) and it would not let me. Another site online denied it as well, but can't remember which it was. Luckily I can use it on Amazon as long as I put the incorrect expiration date (seriously).

I agree. I mean what does it actually cost to have the cards made? A couple buck if that? I understand that they are in business to make money, but this is more like stealing from your clients. I like epassporte and everything, but the price for this needs to change. $30 a year for a flimsy card? how do they justify charging that much? Also, with me paying these ridiculous yearly fees why the hell should I have to pay another $30 to get a new electron card when my old one expires?

That is nuts ...

Cards are already printed ( no name, no encoding ).

They are encoded with the magnetic stripe with an Eltron machine .... as needed ....
Some of those machines even can print the picture on the cards.

On the other hand, I am lucky because I really never had a problem with Epassporte ... So let's keep our fingers crossed.

When is CCBill or someone else going to start a company like ePassporte. There are so many complaints about them. Shit if anyone started a new company, ePass would fall apart.
