Well I should know this by now, but I don't, so if you could help, I would really appreciate it.
I have recently installed a traffic trade script on my TGP & I am to the point of seeking trades. But before I do, I feel I need to understand this: I have heard that after buying traffic to feed trades for a while, a site will eventually support itself. Is this true? I don't understand how a site grows in this way. I suppose bookmarkers would help, but is that solely what the growth relies on, or is there something I'm missing? I'm really looking for a good explanation of this, but I can't find one. Again, any help is GREATLY appreciated! Thanks, c-lo

well if you feed the trades they will still be sending you visitors after the feeder traffic runs out...so the trades will still be going
is this what your asking? |

You need a souce of traffic to feed your trades unless someone is nice and will always send back more than they get. That happens. We're all interested in new surfers see our sites. If your traffic is productive, you'll have happy trading partners and they will feed you more.
You could add some SE traffic to those bookmarks. You could create some feeder sites. You could do galleries with your recip in them. You could trade or buy hard links. Buy traffic here |

Hmm thanks pussyluver, good suggestions. Really appreciate the ideas. I guess I'll start submitting galleries soon...
mattz: Not exactly what I was asking, but it helps nonetheless. Thanks. So am I correct in assuming that I must purchase traffic for quite a while before the trades maintain themselves? Thanks again, c-lo

c-lo ,its more about productivity .. its difficult to find good trades.. but if you do.. you make sure that lets say you send your trade 100 unique hits.. they will normally base their traffic back on your traffic productivity.. so if you got good traffic.. their traffic will get them 200+% productivity and you will get back from them 200 unique.. their is some loss of traffic so lets say you only get 180 unique hits back and they produce for you a productivity of 200% as well..
can you see how this game helps? but .. if your original traffic is crap.. and the people you trade with have crap traffic.. well its not going to work very well.. so .. hope this helps good luck |

As stated ,production is a priority. With so many sites out there,if the trade isn't productive try to find more and dump the ones that aren't.Many times the sites just don't match ie:thumbs or text, niche etc so trying to match your trade partners is the challenge

MarkMan: Thanks! That really clears it up for me...So I guess the main loss of time/money is finding trades who will send me the quality of traffic that I send them. I plan to send quality traffic, but due to it being such, it's also more expensive.
I just want to make sure I'm not wasting my time/money by getting the right idea from you guys. I really appreciate you taking the time to set this straight for me. Goldmaniacs: Yeah, a little more detail on feeder sites would be nice...if pussyluver or someone else could elaborate, that'd be cool. Many thanks, c-lo

Spunky: Hey, thanks for helpin me out. I dont know if I ever thanked you for joining my toplist, so thanks for doing that. Your site, RenegadeTGP, was one I was eyeing as a link partner for my TGP (PornMessiah). Let me know if it's cool & I'll add you tomorrow so we can both get some productive traffic flowing.
Thanks, c-lo
