I tried everything I had but cant seem to get an image. I even tried doing a print screen of my desktop but it didnt work. I need an image for a movie thumbnail!

VLC media player

Not only does it have a nice capture feature, but it is also the BEST media player available. It plays EVERYTHING! and it is the most stable for x-platform use.

Or you can just use Windows Media Player and do a print screen.

Turn accelerated video off.
