anyone run a ringtone site?
someone i know local works for a company that is the world's largest publisher of professional sound effects.
they do stuff with lucasfilms, warner bros, fox, universal a thing they create is exclusive ringtones, would this be a big factor running a site with all exclusive ringtone content? wanted to hear from ringtone people

Yes all exclusive content would be a very nice thing for sure. Mobile services/addons popularity depend highly on your creativity and innovative-rate. Find something that no one else offers, try to protect it as long as possible, and you got big $

had one sold it, most companies have their own made (not talking realtones but soundchip based midis) - due to copyright issues.
it WAS good money here.

exclusive content it good but you're going to have to be more original with your design and presentation. also just providing exclusive ring tones isn't going to cut it.
the market is saturated...if you don't make yourself standout the you're not going to make any money.
