It's very hard to understand, even though I work in this biz since 2002. But always worked with the normal stuff.

And no, I'm not from the U.S. - I'm Canadian. But BDSM transcends many cultures. In fact, some of the most unusual and diverse bondage & fetish has come out of Japan and several other countries in the past. Its not just a North American phenomenon. HoM Publications (House of Milan) came out of Italy a few decades ago. Germany also has a large BDSM following. To name just a few.
In the case of our photography - its purely for entertainment value on our commercial websites. Our models are paid for their time. Over the years we've built a rapport with our paying members and have grown to understand what they like to see. Its basic supply-and-demand.
And for the record - there's no depiction of 'sex' (as you say).
That's all there is to it.
