It will get most people a flight somewhere on Southwest. At worst it pays part of a larger ticket and gets you a lot further than no money would.

Mountains from the lake.

The lake is Smith Mountain Lake, 500 miles of shoreline, in SW VA and it is boarded by the Blue Ride Mountains where the Appalachian trail runs along the top of the mountain ridge (which are more like rolling hills in this part of the world compared to say, Colorado mountains). It's truly beautiful and peaceful here.
