saw "United 93" tonight...my thoughts->

Im not gonna go into specifics, but it had the fly-on-the-wall feel to it...like you were witnessing all of this first hand. made me think, what would I do in that situation.....and made me proud to be american (the way they fought back). it was interesting to say the least. nothing much more to say about it though. cant rate/review a "movie" like this...its not fiction...ya know?

pissed me off with all the confusion between the goverment, milatary, the FAA (aka air control) and how it was basically all a big cluster-fuck.

two things happend during this movie that I have never witnessed in a movie theatre:

1) COMPLETE AND TOTAL SILENCE! you could hear a fuckin PIN drop in that place at the end.

2) a grown man cry in a movie theatre. and tonight, i saw alot of them.

god bless all that lost their lives that day. hope some of the money made from this film is given to some charity or something for the family of victims of Flight 93.

Did they discuss how the person who led the revolt was supposedly a rugby player?

Well look at it this way. The four planes took off and 3 hit their marks. Flight 93 was headed for the Capitol or the White House. Had these people not taken action there's no telling what additional horrors could have occured. Yeah I know there are some who wished the plane had hit the lawmakers or the White House but that would have been devestating to our morale even more.

Bottom line is this shit shouldn't have happened and should never happen again. I don't give a shit what agenda the terrorists were proposing we must always stomp the shit out of crooks like that.

Same thing happened at the end of the movie when I saw it, it was so eerily quiet. Thank you babagirls you have restored my faith in GFY by posting this.

Not to take away from what you stated - but the same happened in the first 30 min of "Saving Private Ryan." There was TOTAL SILENCE, thereafter, GROWN MEN CRYING. And then again at the end of the movie - the same.

Also, this happened at the end of "Schendler's List."

It is amazing how some movies can move you.

I guess I'm gonna have to see the movie now. It doesn't sound like its life-changing, but just really touches close to home to Americans, and anyone who feels affected by 9-11.

I made a website kind of dedicated to flight 93 back in 2004. The idea behind the site is you go on and you sign a pledge, or a declaration if you will that if you are ever in a situation where terrorists are controlling a group of people, be it on a train, or plane or whatever, you will forget about your own safety and immediately rush the terrorists. 6 people will never stop a large group of people. Some will die there is a good chance of that, but the idea behind the site is one risks dying to save many. Ill post the url if anyone is intersted. The pledge is still up didnt get alot of support for it back then, it was when people were already starting to grow numb to it, and starting to forget and not care already. Only about 56 signed the pledge.

The loved ones of Flight 93 certainly have my deepest sympathies and many on board no doubt acted with great courage and as true patriots. This film does them a disservice.

It would be foolish to believe everything you see on the screen with respect to the film. News of the day and days following the incident in addition to what I know about air traffic control etc. do not support what was depicted.

No one said this is 100% fact, much of it is, dont hide your fucking pussy ass conspiracy theory lets hear it pussylover. Lemme guess Gdub shot the plane down himself right? Or wait aliens actually beamed the ship to an alternate universe? Or maybe those were Mossad agents on that flight!? You know its one thing I can argue with a guy who says "I believe XYZ" and disprove them but people like you who claim they know facts without providing any evidence piss me off. Oh and you dont know jack fucking shit about air traffic control lol. Lets hear what you got to say bud.

It's pussyluver with a "u".

A discussion with you on the subject would prove useless, you're already to emotional and have started name calling. So my discussions on content of the film will be limited to face to face conversations with friends for now. I know you'll survive with that. If you feel the need to bash me more, have at it. Get it out of your system. Hope you feel better then.

I'm sure others will come along and make the points that need to be made. Maybe I'll add to a rational discussion, just not the one you've tried to start.

Whether alot of it was speculation or not, I do not really care. The movie was very well done and the audience was very emotional. What really interested me was not what went down on the plane as much as the confusion between the Military and the FAA.
