We went and stuck flyers under the windshield wipers of vehicles parked at a church. Went great until an alarm went off. We took off but it got us a TON of business as everyone was talking about it in town.

While I was still out working in Hollywood, my marketing firm got a contract to do some viral and street promos for Blow. We ended up creating little mirrors with the movie name on em, put em in little bags, and included a straw.

Went over very well with the college kids all over the country.

When i was a boss in the car biz one of my dealer principals pre-registered 100 Fiat Chinquecento's by without telling me

so we had 100 used cars to sell that were unused and most of the fuckers were white
we put one on an open truck with some signs showing an amazing deal and i made him drive it round London till all 100 were sold...took the guys a month to sell them but they did it

I know it's not marketing in the sense this thread is about, but:

- Last time I picked up a girl when I was single.
- Getting a job and keeping a job.

Well, a friend of mine and I had an idea of trying to user a very bright spotlight and a colored die cut lens to superimpose our URL on the floor of a stadium when an event was going on. The idea would be to sneak the thing in during the game and shine it on the floor at the Superbowl or something. We thought that "stealing" and "ad" during the Superbowl would be the best stunt ever. But we first tried to make it readable by shining it on the side of a large building but we never did get it to work. So it was a failed attempt.

I once had a website where if you visited it, you had to show it to other people or else you would die that week or something.. it worked very well, so well that they decided to make a movie out of it.

Anyways.. the movie sucked and it made the whole operation bomb.. sigh

We did this during the 2004 MTV awards. It worked like a charm. It wasn't inside the awards but it was on one of the buildings across the street from the American Airlines arena where the event was held. It had all of the people that came in town talking.
