Why are we accepting 2$ charges to be paid by Epassporte?

Is this just a frame of mind for us? Sure its only $2.

For a sponsor to write us a check, they get charged by their bank. If they are using a check writing service, additional fee's, and on top of that, they pay for postage to get that check to us.

So why is it that they ding us for the 2$ to pay us via Epassporte.

Why are we accepting this? 30$ should be 30$, not 28$.

Just my 2 cents.

the same reason you allow your account to be dingged services charges when you go to the bank machine to withdraw money. The convience.

BTW for a sponsor writting a check gives them float day of extra interest (time between them processing and you cashing) they give that up if you ask for epassporte so they don't want you to do that.

Because a wire is much more expensive and you have to pay a mint in some countries for clearing a check.

epassporte is a business. businesses are set up (or should be) to make money. $2 is a lot cheaper than a wire and a lot more conveinent than getting a check. paypal takes a much higher %. like many companies, epass has its issues, but i am happy that they offer their service and dont have an issue with the $2...

PimpRoll and Adult Elite also dont charge a fee for you to receive epass. payouts. I honestly wasn't aware that any sponsor did.

For EU and south american folks, it's way cheaper and faster still than a US check would be.

Compared to wire fees, Fed Ex and a myriad of other costs an Epassporte fee is nothing to think about.

it is not true that sponsors don't want you to pick epassporte for this reason. at least not us. sending out checks and epass when its all washed out is almost the same as far as expenses go.

the interest earned over a few days "float" is nothing really.

Just to make myself clear.

I am not whining about 2$.

I am asking why it is acceptable to ding the affiliate for THEIR cost of business when it comes to Epassporte (which I love and fully support), however you don't see sponsors charging you for their bank fee's and postage when they pay you by check.

It is the principle I am talking about.

Some sponsors charge $4 (Jayman Cash and another niche teen site program whose name I can't remember) and one I saw charges $10.

I get paid by several dozen sponsors via ePassporte and that $2 really adds up, then ePassporte charges me $2 more to put it into my bank account.

Isn't it Paycom that charges $2.95 for a check?

i guess it depends on how big you are. I worked for a fortune 500 company coding for y2k stuff. One of the original coders had add lines of code that would park payroll money into his account for one day (they had a high accounts where money was parked and they transfered money into the chequing account to pay the scheduled bills).

He stole like 25k a year on the interest for that one day/two weeks. If it hadn't been for y2k he would have gotten away with in.

Well Since you are on the subject of minor fee's.. what happened with the small prepaid deal & the traffic you owe to SexSearch ? ?

I'd like the traffic we paid for from your directory or a refund asap.

It would have to be a BIG payout to make any significant amount of money... even $10k @5% p/a (which is unlikely) for a day is only $1.37 in interest

I think you might be on the right track though. Consider this:

a) checks take time to mail. the funds come from an account which doesn't necessarily need to have the sum total of all payouts available on day 1. If they're cheeky they could even come up with some sort of algorithm that forecasts when each affiliate is likely to bank them and periodically top up the account to cover that (and then some), earning interest elsewhere in the meantime.

BUT...

b) epass payments need the total of all affiliate payouts as 100% cleared funds prior to transferring the payments out to affiliates. The total needs to be there on day minus 2 (or however long a wire takes).

I'd be interested to hear what epass charges for loading and paying from business accounts...

My guess is because you would rather pay the $2 fee then claiming the money on your taxes.

Exactly i have an old ccbill check from like 2 years ago. I didn't cash it right away because it was under 50.00 bucks and i thought i would wait until i got more checks to justify the trip.

Well it fell behind the desk

Hodough does not charge affiliates anything for epassporte,
if it's a $30 sale, you receive $30 in your account.

I asked a sponsor about this a little while ago as they charge $4 to pay via epassporte.

Their response was it costs them something like $70 to fill up their epass to pay affiliates. I was also told that there is no way they would eat this charge for affiliates.

I guess that means they have 17.5 affiliates.

Seriously, they must have a tiny site if an extra $70 per week or fortnight hurts...
