To tell you the truth, these guys actually made posts in that thread.

I think larger webmasters are not interested in an Ipod Nano. I don't know if it's me or what. A trip to Costa Rica, now that's a different story. Although anyone doing at least a sale a day can and might make the trip. all they need is a total of 100 signups accross the board. The first to reach it wins.

Set a deadline for them to claim the prize. If they do not respond by the deadline then you can have another Mini-Contest thread. Something you could do is ask people something about your sites so you will know they have a real interest in your business.

Or you can give them to your newest content provider. Hint.
