.co.uk or .com ???

Quick question

I wanna know if there's any difference if my site ends in either .co.uk or .com???

Do they produce different results when searched in search engines?

Are 'porn' customers bothered if a site is .co.uk or .com? Is there a preference?

All feedback appreciated!!!

Cheers

I only use .co.uk for UK themed sites, for example phone sex, at least they will know it's UK and won't bother if they are outside.

You could use a ,com for UK phone lines, which I do, but that is more just to tie up the domain so I have both.

Well its not a uk themed site, tho i am from the UK, but no one on the site needs to know that!

The main reason im asking is the .com of the webname i want was taken so i bought the .co.uk version - will that matter? The sites will be of different content...

Haven't read anything on SEO forums regarding .co.uk getting preferential placement. The most brandable would seem to be .com
