CSI Miami - An Important Question - GoFuckYourself.com

I was watching CSI Miami last night. It aired a couple of days ago. As I was watching I saw something that I need to have explained to me;

During this episode, a woman has been kidnapped. She is in the trunk of a car, and uses her cell phone to make a call. She mis dials her husband and gets a stranger. She asks for help but can't tell anyone where she is. When the CSI's later find out where the car may have been during her frantic call from the trunk, they go to the location. The location is outside, in South Miami, in the middle of the day so why the fuck does "Eric" use a flashlight??????

Using a freaking flashlight in bright sun in Miami is like putting eyeglasses on a blind man...it isn't going to help you see any better.

Well.. it's a tv show.
If it was accurate it'd be boring.

I love CSI - however, I think Eric got caught with his Fleshlight in his 'gear' and had to make it look like it was a tool used for his job before Horatio pulled a shitfit!

I've never understood the flashlight thing. They go into houses in the middle of the day and I'm sure there's LIGHTING WITH LIGHTBULBS in the house, but instead they choose to use little - not even the big - flashlights. Argh. These people need to talk to us before writing scripts ;)

By turning the lights on, the investigator is actually putting their life at risk.

You dont know if the switch has been tampered with, if there is a gas leak, etc etc

When entering any 'crime scene' you are supposed to check the area out without using any electrical equipment such as light switches, plug sockets, etc etc

Of course the standard issue for law enforcement flashlights has a 3 or 4 inch diameter light source... not some toothpick sized peice of shit they use.

One of the absolute first things law enforcement officers are told is what i mentioned above about not turning on electrics until they have been 'cleared' same is also true for those in the armed forces.
