When I hear a LOUD motercycle all I think is DUMBASS.

the ones that try and justify it say they need people to hear them - that's not why they make them loud. That comment only makes them look DUMBER in my books.

real power is deep bass without loud volume.

but the dumbasses never seem to get that.....

Here in Florida they need the loud pipes to keep the old deaf people from hitting them, I think it's justified, since I've seen too many accidents caused by the elderly.

The idiots are the ones who have to gun the motor like their wrist is having a seizure and don't ever let up with the revving.

Yeah it's very true, people have no respect for motorcycles on the road and so many accidents happen because people just don't look before they change lanes or check their blindspots.

I would rather piss someone off for 5 seconds with a hard rev or loud exhaust than spend 3 hours using steel wool scratching off road rash in a hospital or even worse dead.

Bikers understand this philosophy but many don't apparently.

DH... you got it. Had some friends get nailed by some bastard whipping out on the road without looking. Turns out he had hit a car in a parking lot and was fleeing the scene in a hurry. He turned out onto the far side of a four lane road right in front of their bike.

Fortunately, they lived. Some heavy damage that will take a long time healing, but they're alive. The fuck in the car said he never even saw them.

People in cars just don't think about looking for bikers. Too busy talking on the phone or eating lunch to pay attention.
