ProjectBlackBook.com Unveiled

ProjectBlackBook.com Unveiled ? The Journal for
Interactive Marketing Hits the Streets

San Francisco, CA - April 25, 2006 ? ProjectBlackBook.com (PBB), the Journal for Interactive Marketing, launched today at the Spring ad:tech conference. ProjectBlackBook.com fills a void in the current marketplace for a business journal that focuses on all facets of affiliate-based and performance-driven marketing on the Internet, offering practical application insights combined with exclusive and previously unpublished statistics on the affiliate marketing sector.

The ProjectBlackBook.com publication positions itself between a magazine and an analytic report, presenting data and diagnostic editorial that delivers context and relevance for senior executives, marketing professionals & entrepreneurs operating in virtually any industry. Through select data mining and informed analysis of billions of Internet data records, the journal publishes qualified statistics of linking relationships of domains and affiliate networks.

Brandon Shalton, CEO of Project Black Book, says that the core mission of the journal is to allow companies currently in the affiliate marketing space and those thinking about entering the space, to fully understand the issues involved, as well as to provide 'transparency and truth', which VP of business development Jim Lillig writes about in the first issue.

Corporate Evangelist, Jack Mardack, commented, "The launch of ProjectBlackBook.com coincides with a moment of enormous opportunity for businesses and entrepreneurs of all sizes. Our journal humbly offers "truth-in-data", and a few ideas for its good use, in the hopes of improving the Web for commerce."

In creating a publication that presents stories and data in a clear and purposeful way that builds confidence and identifies liabilities, Publisher Joseph Devlin, III believes that ProjectBlackBook.com will help further fuel the exploding growth of affiliate and interactive marketing.

VP of Marketing Scott Rabinowitz notes, ?The people responsible for creating PBB represent the very range of professionals the journal seeks to address, which allows us to deliver the journal in the context of our customers? needs.?

ProjectBlackBook.com is a printed business journal with related online components that is available via annual subscription. Special premier edition subscription rates are in effect until July 31st, 2006, with a PDF version of the premier issue available for viewing at projectblackbook.com. For more information, visit the web site or contact us via e-mail at scott at projectblackbook.com.

Anyone who wants a hard copy, can see either Brandon (FTP), or Tom (Hymes of FSC), or Marc (of T3), or Joe (of KLIXX), or Scott (TrafficDude) or Jim (former Marketing Director of MrSkin), or Me (2hp) - - @ Ad-Tech in a few.

Yeah, I was surprised at how many "adult" people were there this year. I love how some have special "mainstream" business cards made up -- lol. It was getting so I didn't know how to introduce people, for not knowing who to say they were with. I also love hearing the sales schpiels from the booth people. It's like they just hit "play" when you show any interest or just make eye contact, even -- lol. Sometimes, I suffer it, maybe cuz I want one of their schwag items. I'd feel guilty to just take a keychain and go. It's hard work behind a booth at a tradeshow, lemme tell ya. People come up, I've seen it happen, maybe got some 'tude for some personal reason, or some history with the company. Like this kid I watched for a little while today. He was young and eager. You could tell he had shined his shoes and shit. You know, trying to make a good impression, probably his first big show. And he had this (pardon the French) ASSHOLE who simply would not relent on some bullshit point that really had nothing to do with the company the kid worked for. I felt bad. You could tell this guy just had a tirade in him and he chose this young kid, cuz he looked pushable. Poor kid is doing his best, trying to stay polite and all. He's got some other people waiting to talk to him, and he's getting a little embarrassed, to boot. Finally, I'd watched enough. I walked up and interrupted, which the other people waiting seemed to be happy I did. I made up some bullshit about "totally seeing your point, sir..." and pulled him away for a heated debate about nothing. That's okay. I didn't mind doing it. Karma cures all.
