That was the size of the rump steak I just had for lunch.

It was about an inch thick and served on a platter with chips, salad and swimming in mushroom gravy.

Anyone ever taken the challange at the Texas (i am sure other places have copied) steakhouse where the meal is free if you finish the steak and potato with shrimp cocktail and small salad? When I am there next I want to do it, honestly at the last price I heard it was running at it was worth doing it because the price was good even if you do not get it free.

I'm trying to visualise a 1kg steak... the closest I'm getting is when we buy minced beef from the supermarket and the two "splotches" of mince total about 700g. I can't even imagine putting all that away in a single session, and I've got a healthy appetite. lol
