How do I find out what tires fit on my truck?
i have worn out (and destroyed one yesterday with a big hole) my stock tires on my nissan frontier 05. i want larger offroad tires. what do i do? i have never upgraded a car/truck before.
2nd question: what happens if i go on a thousand miles trip on roads with offroad tires? do i use up more gas or wear out the tires faster? see, i go on road trips then drive in the desert and my stock tires have like no treads left. thx! |

sizes are typically on the tire itself and or in the manual.
Plenty of people will be in here though to give full instructions. Hell if you post the truck type etc they will prolly tell you what damn tire.

you will need new rims more than liekly if you want bigger tires....i would just recommend what your doing, go to your local tire dealer....ask for now then research what you want online or in magazines...truck magz have tons of tire info....
if your going both on and offroad you need an inbetween tread...for both durability, comfort in highway driving and expense..... happy hunting...

If you want big ass offroad tires....
1: You will need a lift kit. 2: You gas mileage will go to shit. 3: They will be noisy on concrete roads. I suggest you go to Goodyear and get replacements for your stocks. Offroad is not for you. |

Oh i dig ya...just when mud wheeling offroading truck thrashing enthusiasts hear offroad, they think near tipping, engine flaring, mudd tossing terrain
![]() I assumed you meant somethign like that though....I would look into BFG...not sure on their all -terrain gear....Wildcats are ok too all terrain or you could handle EXT's without getting too knobby

i bought some "good wrangler silent armor" tires.
it's a pretty big difference from nearly worn smooth stock tires. it's like a have a whole new truck. i can brake easier, accelerate better and turn harder. plus, i dont feel bumps as much. |
