i have worn out (and destroyed one yesterday with a big hole) my stock tires on my nissan frontier 05. i want larger offroad tires. what do i do? i have never upgraded a car/truck before.

2nd question:
what happens if i go on a thousand miles trip on roads with offroad tires? do i use up more gas or wear out the tires faster?

see, i go on road trips then drive in the desert and my stock tires have like no treads left.
