GFY REALLY REALLY Needs To Fixor Their Database!
Man, more and more I've been making posts only to have a DB error when I hit submit, which of course causes me to loose the post.
Now, BELIEVE me I know what a bitch it is to run a high load vbulletin install. I use to own a very large one myself (about 300,000 registered members). But come on now, certainly enough time has passed for GFY to have a decent system engineered. I think I read somewhere you guys are using a small cluster of dells? Clustering something like this codebase is just ASKING for trouble. Truth be told, this board is NOTHING that 2 Sun boxes and a few code tweaks couldn't handle. One box for the db, One box for the webserver. Get yo shats workin yo!  |
