Hey you yankees

Who has the big bucks on here? - Playboy maybe can do it.

The US has this daft game they call "football" - but lets be honest you guys - you all know that you leave american soil and your version of football is like - err rugby or something? The rest of the planet does something different. Basically the americans are alone.

I put this to the board - the dude on here with the biggest mouth and the biggest balls and the biggest wallet - would bring proper football to your country.

Then you'd be on SERIOUS money. - IE not money which was available from the US only (cos lets face it no ass watches "american football" except the yanks.

Im talking about bringing "soccer" to the US.

Soz - but it will happen. Only question is - whos going to do it?

What do you yanks reckon
?

MrChips.

This might be the dumbest thing I have seen in a long time.

The US already have soccer and you should keep an eye on their national team at the world cup this year. They are pretty good now. Not Brazil standard but few are.

Their league isn't that bad either.
Odd system but still quite a few decent players and well organized it seems.

Needless to say none of them would stand a fair chance against Barcelona, Liverpool, Chelsea, ect. but saying you will "bring soccer to the US" pretty much shows you're either making fun of them (which I doubt you are) or you didn't do your homework.

wow maybe you shouldnt make a post about this kinda thing unless you have a clue what you are talking about. The super bowl is the most watched event on tv, first of all. Secondly we have soccer, it's just young and gaining popularity. Daft? How is american football daft? It is a multi-billion dollar a year business, and is one of the countries most popular sports. Soccer just isnt as popular here as it is in other parts of the world. Just accept the fact that america likes our version of football better. We also have rugby here to by the way. Soccer isnt as lucrative of an investment as football here, and doesnt get as many viewers, so the networks dont make much off ads. Do you honestly think that we dont have a pro soccer league, or do you think that this entire country is ignorant of the sport?

Yeah - whatever - seriously.

I travel all over the world and NOBODY EVER (and I MEAN EVER) mentions the US when it comes to real football.

I know what you are saying guys - but you need to lift yourselves up a level - (sorry for saying that).

I know you are not shy of it - but you dont really have much say or influence.

Like - hearing about about americans playing "soccer" over here in the real world is like hearing about - well - a kid trying to join in and not right welcome yet. You know what I mean????

BTW - I hate football - but it doesnt half earn large sums of cash if youre involved. My Dads brother took his team to win a serious UK trophy in the 70's - so dont for one fucking minute think I dont know what Im talking about.

It sounds to me like you're trying to insult the americans by calling your place (where that might be but my guess is England) the "real world". Watch the world cup and then come back. You need to do some serious research about this before you talk. My bet is that your research includes talking to a few friends and a desperate idea on how to make money, and that's it.

There's nothing wrong with having ideas but before you do something you need to do some research

the us is young, its hard to just hop into a culture as rich and old as soccer. I love hearing about soccer grudges, and riots, its realy awesome, and I respect the loyalty of the fans.

?????? What are you getting at? and? As someone who isnt a soccer fan, along with the majority in america, it affects me as much as not having a say in sumo wrestling or spear chucking. Why should we care about a sport that we dont like?

[\quote]So america isnt part of the real world because of its lack of soccer cred, wow you are a retard. Good thing your not in a position of authority.

Half of that was jibberish, but if your saying there is no money in american football you are a perma tard and noone can help you.

No you are making it pretty clear you have no idea what you are talking about...

OHHH I see what your saying, your trying to let everyone know that you have no fucking clue. First off, only someone with the mind of a week old turd would call a game that nets 3.5 billion dollars a year daft. Secondly, the fifa world cup, which includes multiple COUNTRIES, gets about as many viewers worldwide as the superbowl, which includes only two CITIES. Can you not grasp the difference here? Saying football is not a popular sport is just ignorant.

I saw that to, 3 international events are above the super bowl, which involves 2 cities, instead of multiple COUNTRIES.

My city has a minor league soccer team and we regularly get 10k people to the games. We're a big soccer town, but a medium sized city. The team actually just got it's own stadium after 10+ years of profitable existance.

There's also the MLS, Major League Soccer. Red Bull just bought the NYC team.

Don't think that soccer isn't big here. It is and has been for years. Media coverage is what it really needs.

BTW I must add I am not arguing the popularity of soccer with the rest of the world, that would be retarded. Soccer is a popular sport in other parts of the world..it just isnt that popular here.

I can't remember if I mentioned this last time we spoke about soccer in the US but I've been a coach for some years and one of my friends got soccer contacts in the US so I was offered a job as coach in the NY area. Can't remember which club but I said no thank you. My friend took a job and he's now on a 2 months vacation in the US every year with every paid by the club and he does what he loves all day long, play soccer with people who has the same interest.

Sometimes I wish I was better at kicking myself in the nuts.
2 months paid vacation with soccer each year.
