Cloning

If we successfully cloned a human, what do you think would happen to the world? How would religious zealots deal with it? I was just reading a magazine that had an article about the progression of cloning and the only reason we haven't cloned humans is because of 'ethical' concerns. I think the only way, with how our governments are run by religious nazis, is if it is done underground then brought to the public after success. Opinions?

Don't care ... As long as we're not doing it for evil ... like ... you know, cloning drones for armies... :P

I can see the need for creating limbs and other parts but other than to say that we can, what is the need to clone a human?

I don't see the need to clone humans. You just simply shouldn't mess with nature like that.

what would make your clone less human then you?

and if your answer is nothing.. then why should he/she be killed for parts for you and not you cut for parts for him/her?

and if you clone not for parts .. then why do it? whats the need

The problem with the cloning, is that there is really no way to control it, and eventually it WILL get out of hand. in some aspects I agree with not cloning a human. But I also see the need to be able to clone an EXACT match of a heart, or liver. etc.

Being able to clone would mean we have the given technology to make changes. They would be able to remove flaws such as cancer or diabetes from newborns, guarantee someone has a child with blonde hair and blue eyes. There are unlimited possibilities.

I agree, the success rate of transplants is not what it should be.

I think Hitler had the same thing in mind, as far as the blonde hair/blue eyes. As for unlimited possibilities, that is what exists in nature although lesser traits are forced out.

Blonde hair and blue eyes was just an example as for nature, I agree, but humans are naturally lazy and impatient.
