Is Etelegate a scam?

So all of the rebills we still had with Ibill have been moved to Etelegate and seem to be being declined. A buddy of mine didn't even do their contract and had all his rebills moved anyways.

I also hear they charge for declines. No replies to any emails.

When will we be delivered from the evil?

Know of etelegate Shoplifter but can't say if it's a scam. Folks can have good intentions, but get "distracted".

Any involvement of iBill in dealings with another companies is another matter and open to all kinds of scenarios. One of these being... the dumping of iBill clients to etelegate before the legal shit hits iBill to allow them to claim in various ways that they are not responsible.

It's called pass-me-a-clean-towel-to-wipe-my-hands.

PS... Out of casual interest, what legal jurisdiction was the contract supposed to be operating under? "Offshore" by any chance?

I've been an etelegate merchant. Yes they charge for declines and have no velocity checking so you'll pay dearly for card hammering. That was my biggest complaint before but now they have quit paying. In other words, they have moved from the sucks list to the shit list.

We got switched over from iBill to Ethlegate and it looks as if the rebills and new signups are working. I haven't changed our signup pages yet. We are looking at switching everything over to ccbill and bagging iBill altogether. iBill still owes us around $3800 from past revenues - nearly year and a half. We had an agreement for them to pay us the $3800 three months ago and they balked on the deal. Really messed up company to do business. Changing from iBill to G-guard now to Ethelgate. Wow.

Oh, the other thing, they charge $50 for wire transfers. That's huge. ccBill charges $25. iBIll used to charge $25.

In your dealings with etelegate, what country/jurisdiction did you think you were dealing with?

For an alleged third party processor - even before iBill allegedly passed over webmaster accounts - it's a weird setup, with supposed offices in Manchester UK and trying to hide under a maildrop in central London.

Got a nasty feeling the fingerprints of Gary Spaniak and his associates, consultants and investors are all over etelegate recently and smell another shuffling of corporate paperwork for which iBill, Galanis, Spaniak, Markley, Molina and are known for. This probably explains the lack of payments.

All of these individuals have been lying and decieving for years now in association with each other. The portrayed "press release" picture of iBill passing over accounts to a new magical processor is another load of bullshit.

Markley, Spaniak and associates know exactly who the owners of "etelegate" are.

Only my but anyone who may still be stuck with iBill for any money - don't dream of permitting iBill to pass over accounting to any other processor. iBill is the company responsible for funds - no other company. I'd also not sign up with eTelegate until all details are known and when there is transparency.

PS...

In answer to your question ShopLifter, got not reason to think eTelegate is anything other than a scam until such time there is any transparency and the real facts are stated by the "owners". Tho they are not noted for transparency or the full truth.

We stopped using iBill a long time ago because the 'new' iBill was just as sleazy as the old iBill (same runarounds and accumulating unpaid moneys for (new improved) gkard sales/reserves), but this switcheroo (to eTelegate) seems (IMO) like a convenient way to dump 8+ months worth of reserves owed to iBill/gkard webmasters and being able to continue business with (yet another) clean slate and probably enough corporate arms length distance to slip through criminal fraud prosecution for taking on new webmaster accounts knowing very well that they are not currently paying any outstanding reserves back (according to iBill rep because of bank dispute).

They are not informing the market that they are unable to release reserves even though they entering into new agreements with new webmasters most likely on the premise that they do.

That's just my opinion but it's based on what iBill has done and what they have told us regarding our unpaid reserves (for 2005 gkard sales).

I suspect I may not be alone in this view.

BTW, has anyone yet succeeded in launching criminal action against 'ibill' or whatever corporate tag they are hiding themselves behind?

This is true, we had the rebills moved to Etelegate without our concent too and it seems etelegate terminated about 80% of ex-Ibill rebills.

That might be explaining the missing 10% ibill Gkard reserves and delayed Ibill payouts of the recent past ? bank did not release the moneys to Ibill indeed because their gkard chargeback rate was enormous.

Anyway, anyone got any Apr. 15 payout money from either Ibill or etelegate?

Lets forget the money we are owed by IBILL and now ETELEGATE. Its time we deny access to anyone who joined our site using the above. Just delete the IBILL .htaccess located on your server, and all the users who paid to get in thru IBILL and ETELEGATE will be asking for refunds and charge backs. This way, those assholes will lose their merchant accounts and get nothing, just like we are getting nothing. Do it today, I did. When my members tell me they cant login, I simply tell them to call their banks and get their money back since I didnt get it.
