polish_aristocrat 04-07-2006 03:25 AM

Lee, can you manage the DNS etc for your domains?

If yes, then you own them, if not, then we dont know yet...

I've just been waiting to checkout. Each step in the process is taking several minutes if it even works.

The Duck 04-07-2006 03:27 AM

Ok, I just went ahead and registered a ton of just EXCELLENT domain names, but I just cant believe it.

polish_aristocrat 04-07-2006 03:27 AM

brujah, do you know how the exact process with the sunrise names with no valid trademarks will look like ?

As soon as i can get access to login ill confirm :thumbsup

Lee

Brujah 04-07-2006 03:28 AM

I believe they get put back in the available pool a specific # of days later.

ffmihai 04-07-2006 03:29 AM

I'm jealous, and I still don't understand everyone here saying he doesn't have them. When the main register says a domain is available there's a damn good chance it is. :upsidedow

FuqALot 04-07-2006 03:30 AM

i use my server at hosting company in europe to get to the site.. loads fine here.. you need to keep on trying hehe

not able to set any dns yet ofcourse - everything i registered is probably not available after all anyway

Since I lost one in the checkout process, I think odds are good if you paid for it through this registrar.. you got the name.

Yes, first come, first served, but overall its close to a lottery.

That was at least the case with .info and im 99% sure its similar now.

edited: Rolo said the same, just shorter :)

I preregistered 20 (actually a friend of mine that lives in the UK is getting them on his name) and all of them have pending status on my account, but all of them went from availible last night to registered today, so hopefully I'll get at least 3-4 of them

Now if I could just load the site I'd be set. I did get it to load once, to tell me that domain was snatched in the 20 minutes I've been waiting. :1orglaugh

Edit that, it actually went through for me earlier but the page never loaded so I missed it. Too bad it wasn't one of the great ones. :disgust

not sure about that. i paid thru eurodns. when i get to 'my domains' in profile it still lists them under 'pre registration' and not yet under 'registered'. but its not even hour ago that i registered them though. i think european lee is bsing. if not, post a snapshot of the eurodns window where it says 'registered domain list'.

polish_aristocrat 04-07-2006 03:39 AM

anyone using Pool for it?

they are the best guys in backordering so they might be good in getting the best .eu names too

but they have an auction process, so its useless for me

chadglni 04-07-2006 03:41 AM

My question is what are the other registrars doing now that they are openly available? I got one through godaddy just to see and it shows the Pre-Registration Period - Public in status.

Also, what should the market be like on .eu? It will be second only to .com no?

Brujah 04-07-2006 03:41 AM

I have a bunch added through Pool too, and noticed some said Accepted and others said Unverified when I entered them. I'm hoping it means Unverified meant no one else had added the names previously, and I'll get them without auction. I can't wait to see how the auctions look on these.

XPays 04-07-2006 03:48 AM

others can dispute registrations btw. it's probably not a good idea for non eu presence people to be too specific in here. an eu entity with good eyes and legal can make things difficult...

its either that or he is simply aiming to low, I'm sure you can register almost any 2-3-4 word domains at this stage except for domains like cellphones.eu, mortgagerates.eu etc.

True enough.

Wonder if sex.eu will have something like that happen to it?

Brujah 04-07-2006 04:00 AM

Mine is still stuck on the credit card page. I opened a new window and it shows they're all pre-registered. Did anyone get any actually moved into the 'Registered' section?

Can't login to check but I did get stuck on the c/c page but got a confirmation email for the order. No idea if it's pre-order or registered status and I officially give up. :1orglaugh

darksoul 04-07-2006 04:10 AM

I think its safe to say all good domains are taken.

GonZo 04-07-2006 04:15 AM

Do they know a thief and a scammer is registering all these domains?

Brujah 04-07-2006 04:18 AM

I ran a list on all the ones I had with the .eu registry and they're all REGISTERED. I just hope some of them are mine.

I'm going to clean my list of good available names, and see how many are left. It had about 5,000 in it last night.

If all applications for a domain name are either rejected or have expired, that domain name will become available again for registration during Land Rush after all pending assessments by the Validation Agent have been performed.

Is that what you are looking for?

So far, about 92% of names in my 5,000 name list yesterday have already been registered this morning in the first 2 hours of .eu land rush.

By you or someone else?

BlueDesignStudios 04-07-2006 05:07 AM

Hi lee can you contact me about paying your design bill?

it's been a few years now and you seem to have enough money to buy domains so I dont' see what's stopping you from paying your bill (or even better, donating the money to a charity)
